How to Renew Your TDLR
To renew your TDLR License you will need to renew your license on the TDLR website and also complete a 4-hour Continuing Education course. Below are the steps to renew your license on the TDLR website.
Already renewed your license?
Buildforce syncs directly with the TDLR website. Once your license is marked "Active" on the TDLR website, we will automatically verify it on our end. After verification, you will be able to apply for jobs in the mobile app again.
You can check your TDLR license status directly on the TDLR website:
It can take 1-3 business days for your TDLR license status to update to “Active” on TDLR’s website. You will need to wait until that license status updates to “Active” before we can verify it. Buildforce cannot expedite verification.
1. To renew your TDLR click on the following link: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/App_Online
Once you are on the page click Electrician Licensing
2. Next, click Apprentice Electrician Renewal on the right-hand side
3. Lastly, fill out your information and click Continue.
4. Follow the steps to pay for your TDLR renewal. You will need to provide your updated mailing address in order for your license to be sent to your home, as well as your payment information.
In addition to the TDLR renewal payment, you MUST also complete a 4-hour continuing education course in order for your TDLR to be renewed. Here is a help article that shows you how to complete your continuing education:
